Position description
Advisors
Advisors are not members of the Board of Directors but of the IAIDQ Advisory Council which exists to provide guidance to the Board
Advisors must be able to respond to requests for assistance from the Board in a timely fashion, and to contribute in other ways such as serving on committees, attending board meetings and retreats, etc.
Their accountability is to be a sounding board to the voting directors and to provide fair, unbiased guidance based on their view as to what is in the best interest of the IAIDQ membership and in the best interest of IQ/DQ as a profession.
Advisors, particularly Founding Advisors, must also provide continuity to the IAIDQ. They do so by providing new Board members an (oral) history of the organization, its accomplishments and goals, and its set-backs.
