Announcement
Departures
With regret, I announce the resignation of two directors from the IAIDQ board.
- After serving as president since the beginning of 2006, Lisa Dodson has now resigned because of serious illness in her family, and the expected arrival of another family member later this year. During Lisa's presidency, the association has grown from 215 to 400 members. So we are grateful for Lisa's leadership, wish her well in the coming months and hope to see her continued future involvement in IAIDQ as advisor.
- Pam Ryser has been a keen member of IAIDQ for two years and has twice stood for election to the board. After her success in the 2007 election, she has also been forced to resign because of serious illness of close family members. We wish Pam well for the future and hope that she can continue to be involved in IAIDQ.
Appointments
IAIDQ's bylaws (see IAIDQ Members zone > Operating Procedures—password required) provide for the filling of mid term vacancies of board positions (clause I.E).
I am pleased to announce that the Board voted (Wed 2 April 2008) to appoint:
- Christian Walenta as President
- Lynda Heij as Secretary/Treasurer
Both Lynda and I have been acting in these roles since January.
Call for nominations
We are calling for nominations from candidates who are interested in serving as:
- Vice President Operations (term expires Dec 2008)
- Vice President Partner Relations (term expires Dec 2009)
Position descriptions for these roles are on our website (see About IAIDQ > Board of Directors).
If you are interested in serving, please see the section II.A about eligibility in the bylaws. You must be able to spend 20-30 hours per month and participate in at least 70% of our two weekly telephone board meetings.
The selection process and timeline are follows:

| 18 Apr 2008 | Deadline for candidates to submit their completed 2008 mid-term vacancy self-nomination forms to President Christian Walenta. Christian will check all nominations received for eligibility as per the Bylaws and interview each candidate. |
| 25 Apr 2008 | Completion of Vote by Board of Directors in accord with bylaws |
| 01 May 2008 | The new directors take office. |
